Overview of Housing Options Program

Stairs, narrow doorways, doorknobs, kitchen counters that are too high, or inaccessible restrooms create huge barriers to living independently. Not being aware of your fair housing rights as an individual with a disability may also make it difficult to obtain housing that meet your needs.

The Housing Options Program at Access to Independence can help. We offer information on:

  • Accessible Unit Listings

  • Subsidized Housing

  • Fair Housing rights

  • Housing Modifications and Assistive Technology

  • Housing Advocacy

  • Housing Orientation
  • HOUSING ORIENTATION
On Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. we have an open meeting at the Center office at 1295 University Ave. on housing concerns.
