a2i's office is in Mission Valley, just a few yards from the trolley stop; our consumers, the people we serve, live throughout San Diego and Imperial County. We don't charge for our services, and we provide resources to a cross section of disabilities.
Of course, it cost us to run our programs, pay our staff, and provide necessary material and information. Research tells us you probably would be more motivated to give us financial help if we explained to you that your money would go directly to an individual who needed it. Here's how it works:
Gail Davis Fradet, one of our beloved employees passed away recently; thanks to the generosity of her family, we now have a memorial fund with her name on it. The GDF Memorial Fund, Access to Independence (a2i) has promised to match any donation you make to the GDF Fund. When you donate, the following happens:
The funds go directly to our consumer services for one of the following:
Transportation
Health care
Assistive technology

Since we are classified as a public charity under the 501 (c) (3) section of the IRS Code, your contribution is tax deductible. As little as $10.00 will help and, we acknowledge each donation.
